Holland & Hart is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of experience to join our Tax Practice Group: State and Local Tax (SALT) subgroup in its Salt Lake City location.

Position Requirements

Ideal candidates will have 1-4 years of relevant experience in state and local tax, strong academic background, stellar interpersonal skills, the ability to proactively anticipate and resolve issues in a timely manner, and the aptitude to work in a team environment. Excellent legal research, verbal communication, and writing skills are required. A strong candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, solid organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and be able to prioritize tasks in a high stress environment.

Compensation and Expectations

Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and on your contributions to the team’s efforts. Our generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits.

Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), in addition to at least 25 hours dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
