Holland & Hart is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join the firm in its Salt Lake City location.

We're looking for candidates who are eager and willing to work primarily on-site alongside their colleagues, where they'll receive the mentorship and guidance essential at this career level. Remote work options remain available when appropriate.

Position Requirements
Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of top tier law firm experience in complex litigation matters, an interest or experience in creditors’ rights, business collections, or commercial bankruptcy; an energetic personality; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to work in a team environment. Excellent legal research and writing skills are required. Preferred candidates will possess a strong academic background, practical law school experience (law review, law journal, moot court, or trial advocacy team), and/or judicial clerkship experience. Professional references are required.

Compensation and Expectations

Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and on your contributions to the team’s efforts.

Our generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits.

Judicial clerks are eligible for a one-time bonus immediately following the completion of a judicial clerkship with a federal appellate, federal district, tax court, state supreme court, or state appellate court.

Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), in addition to at least 25 hours dedicated to Community, Diversity & Inclusion Investment hours. Contributions to the life of the firm is vital to the collective success of the firm, and we encourage our lawyers to engage in ways each person finds meaningful through various committees and firm activities.
