The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of legal practice experience in a law firm possessing strong regulatory and/or litigation skills with an expertise and passion for data privacy and emerging transportation technology. Applicants should be well-versed in emerging domestic and international data privacy regulations, especially as related to technology companies and advanced mobility and have experience in: drafting and reviewing data protection impact assessments, privacy policies and product-specific privacy notices; assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures for responding to consumer rights requests and data breaches; reviewing vendor and customer contracts with a focus on security and data privacy issues; and advising mobility and technology providers on domestic and international data privacy laws and regulations. We will consider candidates with strong aptitudes looking to transition their practice into the above areas.
Successful candidates will possess excellent academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness; exceptional attention to detail; and outstanding client service skills. Current or pending CIPP certification preferred. Admission to the Michigan bar is preferred, but not required, as candidates admitted to practice in other jurisdictions will also be considered.
For immediate consideration, candidates should submit a cover letter, resume and list of representative engagements/transactions using our secure applicant portal.
