Position Overview:

Reporting to CONMED's CEO, the EVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary ("General Counsel") will serve as a trusted legal advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, senior management team, and business leaders. This role involves providing strategic legal guidance across the organization and managing risks globally. The General Counsel will offer global legal guidance and manage risk across all businesses, regions, and functions, overseeing legal activities related to federal securities law, corporate governance, litigation, intellectual property, transactions, employment, and corporate integrity. The General Counsel will also represent the Company in legal relations with external parties.

Location:

The successful candidate will ideally reside within the Eastern or Central time zones; travel as needed.

Compensation:

350k+ base plus bonus and equity. 

Experience:

The successful candidate will bring at least 15 years of comprehensive legal experience, ideally with a background in medical technology. Expertise should include federal securities law, corporate governance, complex transactions, global compliance strategies and legal department management, among other areas. Prior experience as a general counsel or senior in-house counsel (with management responsibilities) is strongly preferred.
