Position Description
Holland & Hart LLP, a premier law firm, is seeking a motivated Junior Associate Attorney to join our dynamic Privacy, Cybersecurity & Emerging Technology practice group. This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-starter to develop expertise in data protection and privacy compliance while working with sophisticated clients on cutting-edge legal matters as part of a experienced team.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on compliance with comprehensive privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, state privacy statutes)
Navigate industry and sector-specific privacy laws, rules, and regulations
Draft and review privacy notices, policies, and disclosures
Conduct comprehensive privacy risk assessments
Perform privacy compliance due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions
Stay current on emerging privacy legislation and regulatory developments
Develop into a go-to resource and resident expert on evolving privacy issues
Candidate Requirements Description
J.D. from an accredited law school
2-5 years of privacy compliance experience at a top-tier national or international law firm
Demonstrated experience advising clients on privacy and data protection matters
Strong analytical and writing skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple priorities
Ideal Candidate Description
IAPP privacy certifications (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT)
Demonstrated in depth knowledge of current and emerging privacy law trends
Experience with cross-border data transfer requirements
Background in technology, cybersecurity, or related fields
Interest in becoming a subject matter expert and thought leader in privacy compliance law
Compensation and Expectations
Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and on your contributions to the team’s efforts. As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Holland & Hart is providing a good faith salary range for this position (if based in Colorado): $207,500- $230,000.
Our generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits.
Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), in addition to at least 25 hours dedicated to Community, Diversity & Inclusion Investment hours.
