The Sr. Compliance Controls Manager will support T-Mobile’s Enterprise Compliance Controls Testing & Monitoring Program by partnering with first line of defense teams, attorneys, and compliance subject matter experts to test design and operational effectiveness of controls across the enterprise. This position plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, internal policies, and identifying control weaknesses, recommending improvements, and providing assurance to senior management and stakeholders. This position requires strong leadership abilities, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of compliance controls, and testing principles.
What you’ll do in your role.
Conduct regular testing of existing controls to identify weaknesses, gaps, or areas of improvement.
Analyze testing results to identify control deficiencies, root causes, and trends.
Develop recommendations and action plans to address identified weaknesses and enhance control effectiveness.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including attorneys, risk management, and business units to ensure that compliance controls are integrated into business processes effectively.
Prepare clear and concise reports documenting testing findings, recommendations, and management responses. Present findings to senior management and governance committees.
Monitor and track the implementation of remediation actions resulting from the compliance testing findings. Validate the adequacy and sustainability of control enhancements.
Stay abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks to ensure that compliance testing activities remain relevant and effective.
Provide guidance and training to junior team members and stakeholders on compliance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting awareness of compliance risks, sharing lessons learned, and driving enhancements to all components of the enterprise compliance program framework.
Drive a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization by promoting awareness and accountability.
The experience you’ll bring.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Professional certification (e.g., CCEP, LPEC, CICA) preferred.
Work Experience
7-10 years auditing, corporate compliance, SOX, technical or IT controls testing or other relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify compliance risks, assess control effectiveness, and report on testing activities.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, dependability, and attention to detail.
Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive results, and foster collaboration.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in using compliance testing tools data analytics software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
