Position Overview: The Senior Counsel I will provide legal support and advice on a wide range of government contracting matters to Contracting Officers in Rail, Bus and Information Technology procurements.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have 5 to 8 years of directly transferable experience advising clients on government contract matters, with substantial knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation ("FAR") and, ideally, some exposure to large scale transportation, transit, technology, and/or construction procurement projects. This experience will have been acquired as an attorney at a law firm with a reputable government contracts practice or as an attorney within a government agency.
Location: Washington, D.C. in a hybrid work environment of three days a week (Monday – Weds or Weds – Friday). No relocations. Local candidates only.
Compensation: $180k - $190k base + transportation benefits.
Bar: Admitted to the Bar in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, and if not admitted in the District of Columbia, the ability to become licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia within one year after commencement of employment.
