The selected students will participate in an innovative ten-week clerkship with Hunton Andrews Kurth during the summer of 2024 from May 20 to July 26. As a part of this program, selected students will have the opportunity to be seconded to Capital One or Dominion Energy for a portion of their clerkship to gain real-life exposure to the in-house counsel’s perspective. Students selected for these clerkships also will be enrolled in the LCLD 1L Scholars Program, allowing them to network with lawyers from other LCLD member organizations. Fully participate in Hunton Andrews Kurth’s 2024 summer program;
Have an opportunity to work on projects with members of either Capital One or Dominion Energy;
Have an opportunity to be paired with an LCLD Fellow who will serve as a Mentor (for a minimum of one year);
Experience projects from both in-house and outside counsel perspectives; and
Attend the LCLD 1L Scholars Virtual Summit.
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for this opportunity:
Currently enrolled as a first-year law student in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school; and
Demonstrated a robust commitment to championing and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in their personal, academic and professional pursuits; and
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
