Cirkul, Inc.(“Cirkul”)has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Senior Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property.

Company: Cirkul is innovating a new way to hydrate. The Cirkul cartridge enables consumers to flavor their water sip-by-sip using a dial to control flavor intensity. Cirkul helps customers reduce their plastic footprint while giving them a simple, delicious, and convenient way to stay hydrated and healthy. Cirkul has experienced exponential growth. A digitally native brand with nearly two billion views on TikTok, the company launched in select retail locations in early 2022. The brand quickly became Walmart’s fastest selling product in its US Home category. The company is vertically integrated and has been profitable since 2020.

Overview: Cirkul seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel—Intellectual Property (Counsel or IP Counsel) to oversee and support the rapidly growing IP portfolio of this CPG unicorn company. This role will be a strategic and operational partner to the business and engineering team. Alongside the GC and C-Suite members, this IP attorney will be responsible for the development, long-range planning, and protection of Cirkul’s Patent, Trademark, and IP portfolios. In addition, the client is interested in candidates who are interested in broadening their legal skills beyond the IP arena to support the company's growth.

Experience: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with foundational law firm training. Substantial IP law experience is required. JD and admission to USPTO are required.

Location/Relocation: While Cirkul’s headquarters is based in Tampa, Florida, their product development and engineering teams are based in Boston, Massachusetts. The client is open to candidates interested in full-time roles in either location.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience (base, bonus, & equity).
