Your Responsibilities
As an Attorney, Technology Agreements within the Global Law Services Group at John Deere located in Des Moines, Iowa, you will have the following responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate agreements in support of Deere’s technology initiatives.
Partner with other attorneys in advising Deere’s Information Technology group, Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) business, and John Deere Financial.
Provide research, legal counsel, and recommendations regarding technology agreements.
Stay current on emerging trends in the law through continuing legal education, reading, professional conferences, and participating in professional associations.

What Skills You Need
2 or more years of experience in the general practice of law in a private law firm, corporate law department, or government agency
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience negotiating technology-related contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements, joint development agreements, Software As A Service (SAAS) agreements, IT-related agreements, Intellectual Property agreements, or electronic hardware supply agreements
Working knowledge of domestic and international data privacy laws
Experience developing contract templates
Experience advising a supply management organization
Experience in handling outside attorneys and case management
Ability to perform legal research
Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy, and style
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission or eligibility to be admitted to practice law by full admission or as in-house counsel in Illinois/Iowa and/or required jurisdiction
