Position: Reporting to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel, the Labor Counsel will have overall responsibility for the labor relations function at Sunbelt. This person will be an expert in labor relations management and will develop a comprehensive strategy for the Company’s labor relations and will provide proactive, practical and timely advice and counsel to Sunbelt’s operating leadership. This person must enhance and build on internal relationships across the Company; with national unions and their leadership; and with appropriate government officials/agencies with emphasis on the NLRB. The Labor Counsel will be responsible for anticipating future business/labor/employee relations issues, trends and strategies, obstacles, and opportunities, and for developing, in concert with Sunbelt leadership and HR management, appropriate training programs, strategies, tools, and resources.
Experience: 7-9+ years of relevant labor law experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
