Overview: The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is an independent, nonprofit research organization that seeks to empower patients and others with actionable information about their health and healthcare choices. PCORI funds comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER), which compares two or more medical treatments, services, or health practices to help patients and other stakeholders make better informed decisions.
The Ethics Counsel and Compliance Officer will provide legal advice to PCORI, with a focus on conflict of interest, ethics matters, and legal compliance initiatives. The Ethics Counsel and Compliance Officer will work independently and directly with executive and senior professionals in multiple PCORI departments and with other members of the Office of the General Counsel and Executive Office and will report to the General Counsel.

Experience: 8 or more years of legal experience advising academic medical centers, medical or health-related providers, payers, or industry, federal health-related agencies, health-related associations, health-related journals, and/or medical research funders or sponsors, including on conflict of interest and legal compliance matters.
Location: Washington, DC; hybrid work schedule. COVID vaccination is required.
