Holland & Hart’s Tax group is looking for a senior-level associate or of counsel attorney to join its Federal Income Tax practice preferably in our Denver office. Our Federal Income Tax group represents public corporations, privately owned companies, partnerships, individuals, trusts and estates in complex transactions. We work on buy-side and sell-side taxable and tax-free transactions, partnerships and joint ventures, renewable energy and low-income housing tax credit transactions, and investment funds.
Position Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have 6 or more years’ experience with a predominant focus on federal income taxation, including M&A and corporate reorganizations, financings, joint ventures and partnerships, and energy and low-income housing tax credits. An ideal candidate will have an energetic and collaborative personality, outstanding interpersonal skills, a keen interest in tax law, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, complex team environment and delegate and manage the work of others. Federal income tax subject matter knowledge and experience is required. An accounting background, LLM, tax court clerkship, investment fund or other tax credit transactional experience preferred, and experience with U.S. international taxation is a plus.
Compensation and Expectations:
Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based – you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements. As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Holland & Hart is providing a good faith salary range for this position (if based in Colorado): $200,000 - $350,000.
The firm’s generous bonus program awards financial contributions and hard work, and associates are also eligible for fee splits.
Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours on pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), and at least 25 hours dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
