McGuireWoods seeks an Associate to join its Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Patent Litigation Group. Â This Group provides pharmaceutical and life sciences clients with strategic counseling directed towards long-term legal, regulatory and business strategies for developing and launching ANDA approved generic pharmaceutical products.Â

In the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical industries, our group represents manufacturers of generic pharmaceuticals and biosimilars facing patent infringement actions in their Abbreviated New Drug Applications. Â We work closely with clients in resolving ANDA-related issues before the Food & Drug Administration, including labeling issues, issues with API, patent listing disputes, and issues pertaining to new drug and marketing exclusivities. Our offering is further boosted by the significant multidisciplinary expertise of our Health Care Life Science Industry Team experts with additive experience at the FDA and Federal Trade Commission.
Salary:Â $225,000 - $370,000+
Qualified candidates will have 2 to 10 years of prior patent litigation experience to include prior Hatch-Waxman and ANDA experience. Preferred background will include an undergraduate degree in chemistry, biology, molecular biology, chemical engineering, pharmacy or biochemistry. Strong writing, analytical, legal research skills and excellent academic credentials required. Please submit cover letter, resume, and law school transcript.
