Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP seeks an attorney to join its highly ranked nationally recognized Environmental Law practice group as an associate in our Washington, DC office.
Qualified applicants should have three to five years of experience with environmental and natural resource issues in the context of compliance counseling, obtaining permits and other regulatory authorizations associated with project development, agency rulemaking, enforcement defense or litigation. The ideal candidate has experience and an strong interest in the Clean Water Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and related legal authorities and working on project development in the context of energy generation, oil and gas and other infrastructure development. Familiarity with FERC is strongly preferred but not required.
