Overview: The Deputy General Counsel, Vice President (“DGC”) will lead the in-house litigation function, oversee all legal support for the Company’s litigation matters, and serve as a primary litigation advisor to the Company’s management team (including the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee). The DGC will be responsible for managing the administrative operations of the legal department, including: overseeing the department’s finance functions (billing, budget setting and management, financial reporting) to enable nimble and strategic legal services; engaging and overseeing both inside and outside counsel consistent with department goals; evaluating outside counsel effectiveness (including the use of metrics and analytics); supervising legal administrative personnel; and evaluating and managing the department’s matter management, electronic billing, and information systems.

Experience: The successful candidate will have at least 10+ years of experience gained in a law firm and an in-house legal department handling a variety of litigation matters. The ideal candidate will serve as both a trusted advisor to the executive team as well as a business partner who is willing to take on various projects across the Company.
Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Location: Irving, Texas (outside of Dallas). This is not a remote position.
Compensation: A highly competitive base salary and bonus, as well as equity.
