Do you want to work with top-notch legal and compliance partners to provide T-Mobile teams with informed and complex legal advice and compliance program guidance regarding anti-corruption matters, third -party compliance, and political activities. If so, T-Mobile has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Corporate Counsel role to work in the Legal Compliance group in our Bellevue, WA, Frisco, TX, Overland Park, KS, or Reston, VA offices.
What you’ll do in your role.
Provide legal advice on anti-corruption matters throughout the company
Assist with assessments of corruption-related risks related to T-Mobile, its customers, and its suppliers
Design and improve anti-corruption compliance controls
Monitor anti-corruption enforcement trends and regularly advise legal partners and business units on anti-corruption best practices
Maintain and provide legal guidance relating to T-Mobile’s Supplier Code of Conduct
Design and improve controls for ensuring third-party compliance with T-Mobile’s Supplier Code of Conduct
Update, monitor, and support T-Mobile’s third-party compliance framework
Maintain and provide guidance on T-Mobile’s policy regarding political activities
Design and improve political activities policy controls
Assist in the development of online training and communications in your areas of responsibility
Assist in the development of KPIs and data and analytics to allow improved monitoring, risk mitigation, and measurement of program effectiveness in your areas of responsibility
Partner with relevant groups, including legal and compliance partners, business units, Enterprise Risk Management, and Internal Audit

The experience you’ll bring.
A U.S. law degree and admission to at least one state bar required
10+ years of experience as an attorney with relevant government, in-house, or law firm experience in anti-corruption/FCPA matters (at least two of three preferred)
Ability to establish self as subject matter expert in specialty fields
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals in a complex organization with a focus on delivering crisp and precise guidance on tight deadlines
Executive presence and demonstrated ability to manage key stakeholder relationships and influence senior leaders
Strong business acumen with broad understanding of business operations
Strong writing, verbal communication, and decision-making skills
Experience driving projects to completion
Experience working with or in corporate compliance programs
Familiarity with U.S. Sentencing Guidelines elements of an effective compliance program and/or DOJ/SEC Resource Guide to the FCPA.
Familiarity with the telecommunications industry and/or other large technology-related industry companies with an international presence
Experience driving complex projects to a successful, timely completion
