Overview: The Senior Director & Associate General Counsel – Research (“AGC – Research”) will serve as the principal legal resource for the Hospital’s internationally renowned Research Institute. The AGC-Research will work directly with the executive leadership and staff of the Research Institute, as well as other organizational leaders, scientists and their staff, and Hospital clinical leadership in helping the Hospital achieve its ambitious research goals. Working in conjunction with the AVP & Chief Counsel, Corporate Services, Research and Innovation (direct supervisor) and EVP and General Counsel, the AGC-Research will be involved in some of the most innovative work in pediatric research, handling a diverse portfolio of domestic and international regulatory, corporate, intellectual property and policy issues, along with providing support on various other corporate, finance, compliance, patient, regulatory, purchasing and other matters for the enterprise.

Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) years of legal experience, including both in-house and private practice as well as at least eight (8) years of healthcare law or biomedical research experience. Academic Medical Center experience is a plus.
Compensation: A competitive compensation package will be offered for this position, consistent with the candidate’s level of experience.
Location: Philadelphia, PA with a remote/office hybrid option.
Relocation: This is a national search, but local/regional candidates preferred.
