This attorney will be an integral part of MassMutual’s small but growing Data, Digital & Marketing Law team, which is responsible for supporting the legal needs of MassMutual’s Enterprise Technology Experience group’s data science, data and AI governance, digital customer experience, and technology teams, as well as MassMutual’s Marketing and Brand Strategy group. This individual contributor role is an excellent opportunity to work with a sophisticated, expanding team on cutting-edge data science and AI initiatives, innovative website and mobile app programs, and prominent marketing and advertising campaigns.

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school, a member of the Bar in good standing (any state), and the ability to become licensed for in-house practice in Massachusetts if not currently licensed in Massachusetts.
• 6+ years in a top law firm and/or corporate environment.
• Strongly preferred: In depth understanding and experience acquired from working on initiatives and transactions, in financial services or insurance, relating to data and AI governance, digital and online solutions, privacy, and marketing. 
• Effective management presence and excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Ability to identify issues, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment, while navigating a complex insurance regulatory landscape.
• Strong client relationship skills and the ability to consult with all levels of management.
• Intellectual curiosity, collegiality, initiative, independence, and a desire to learn new and evolving areas of law and technology.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
