About Mill Law Center
Mill Law Center (MLC) is a new, fast-growing law firm dedicated to the non-profit sector, with a focus on advancing progressive causes consistent with its mission and building a non-hierarchical and equitable work environment. MLC is a law firm for attorneys and non-attorneys who want to embrace their idealism fully while remaining in private practice. Mill Law Center provides legal support to the non-profit and social enterprise sectors, including: (A) Individuals or companies seeking to launch a new non-profit, apply for tax-exemption, and establish a structure for long-term sustainability and impact; (B) Established public charities, private foundations, and other exempt organizations seeking outside general counsel, with specific expertise in corporate law, tax law, charitable trust and solicitation law, impact investment, and charitable gift planning; (C) Lawyers and other experts with different areas of focus that want to support non-profits (whether paid or pro bono) and wish to consult with non-profit law experts; and (D) Entrepreneurs and companies that want to explore a collaboration between the for-profit and non-profit sectors to achieve their mission (e.g. establis...hing a joint venture or non-profit affiliate, donating an interest in a business to a charitable organization). Mill Law Center is based in San Francisco, but serves clients throughout California and across the country.
