The Chief Intellectual Property Counsel will lead the enterprise wide Intellectual Property Center of Excellence for the CSL Group. The incumbent will be a strategic business partner on all IP related matters and provide strategic legal and business insight to business leadership teams, and contribute to achievement of strategic business objectives and growth. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for developing, executing and monitoring the Intellectual Property strategy for CSL, and the role will lead management of the Patent, Trademark, Copyright and Trade Secret portfolio and activities for CSL Behring and Seqirus, CSL’s influenza vaccine company.

A competitive compensation package will be offered for this position, consistent with the candidate’s level of experience.
The position requires 15-plus years of progressive experience in broad legal IP, including Patents and Trademarks transactions and litigation. The successful candidate also will have a minimum of five years of in-house experience in legal IP in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related life sciences industry, and have a similar number of years of people management experience in-house.
This is a global search, and if required a relocation allowance will be provided consistent with CSL’s policies.
