JOB SUMMARY The Director and Senior Counsel, Employment Law is responsible for managing all facets of employment-related arbitration claims, including overseeing the Company’s employment arbitration program, coordinating with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and/or or Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) to secure arbitrators, responding to arbitration claims submitted via the Company’s portal, developing legal strategies related to arbitrations, and litigating arbitration claims through adjudication. The position reports to Charter’s Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Employment Law. The successful candidate will also research legal principles and precedents, gather relevant case related information, and drafts legal documents. Finally, the successful candidate will advise management and other internal clients on legal matters to promote compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
This role will preferably be based in Stamford CT, with an alternative location option in St. Louis MO.
