Overview: Northrop Grumman is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Employee Benefits, to provide legal support across a broad array of employee benefits matters. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Employee Benefits, this position will deal with matters including qualified retirement plans (pension and savings/401(k)), health and welfare plans and arrangements, executive (non-qualified) plans, and plan assets (trust operations and investments). The plans provide benefits to over 200,000 participants, including approximately 97,000 active employees. The combined benefit plan trusts total approximately $70 billion.

Experience: 8+ years of employee benefits law experience at a law firm, in-house legal department, benefits consulting practice, or government agency involved in benefit plans regulation. Experience with an assortment of employee benefits laws, including but not limited to, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Internal Revenue Code Section 409A, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the Affordable Care Act.
Location: Falls Church, Virginia.
Compensation: Competitive base and bonus.
