Overview: The Vice President & General Counsel, SDG will participate as a member of various senior leadership teams and provide advice on day-to-day issues, commercial transactions, and a variety of healthcare and general compliance issues. This position will advise and provide legal support to various SDG businesses and will report to the Senior Vice President & President, SDG with a strong matrix reporting relationship to the Company’s Senior Vice President & General Counsel.

Experience: The successful candidate will have at least ten (10) years of legal experience preferably gained through a combination of top tier law firm and in-house experience. The right candidate will have demonstrated leadership and management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of effectively working in a company’s global environment. Knowledge of medical device advertising and marketing as well as experience in a healthcare related industry is required. Direct experience with commercial transactions and a general commercial law background is also required. Experience working internationally is preferred. Specific experience in diagnostics and/or life sciences is an advantage.
Bar Admission: Admission to a State Bar of any jurisdiction in the United States, or a qualified lawyer outside of the United States, in good standing.
