We have an excellent opportunity for an Attorney who will report to the Director in the Real Estate Division and will be responsible for providing legal advice and recommendations regarding legal actions, strategies, problems and issues facing the various divisions of the New York City School Construction Authority.
Negotiates, drafts and reviews contracts, Letters of Intent, Memorandum of Understanding, License Agreements and Lease Agreements. Drafts assignment agreements between the Department of Education and the Authority. Negotiates easements, ZLDAs, zoning exhibits, condominium documents, and other real estate related documents Assists Senior and Principal Attorneys with research on complex and difficult legal issues. Represents the Authority at hearings on construction contracts, disputes and other matters. Provide real estate and construction support as necessary.
Three (3) years of full time and progressively diverse experience after admission to the New York State Bar.
