Reporting to PNG's Chief Legal Officer, the Vice President, Business Operations will share responsibility with other team members for execution of PNG's enterprise strategy as an overarching responsibility and priority. The Vice President, Business Operations will oversee all legal matters as they relate to Business Operations and serve as primary advisor to the CLO regarding complex commercial contracts (including technology transactions and licensing agreements), certain M&A, real estate agreements and legal department management, among other areas. The Vice President, Business Operations will help lead attorneys and staff to support business operations matters, and directly manage outside counsel. This position is located in Wyomissing, PA, where the company is headquartered, however the Company is also open to remote work for candidates located in the Northeast Corridor with travel to Wyomissing every other week and/or as needed.
PNG owns, operates or has ownership interests in 41 gaming and racing properties in 19 states and continues to evolve into a highly innovative omni-channel provider of retail and online gaming, live racing and sports betting entertainment, bolstered by its strategic partnership with Barstool Sports and its mychoice loyalty program.
A competitive compensation package, consisting of a base salary, bonus and equity, will be offered for this position, consistent with the candidate's level of experience.
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of legal experience. Foundational law firm training is required, as is experience in an in-house legal department in a highly regulated industry, with a preference for the gaming or technology industry, and in roles of increasing responsibility and visibility within that organization. The successful candidate will possess substantial experience with complex commercial contracts (including technology transactions and licensing agreements), M&A, real estate and legal department management, among other areas. The successful candidate must be an approachable business-minded lawyer with demonstrated relationship building skills, strong negotiation skills, and the courage to propose innovative legal solutions -- and effectively support your positions even in the face of resistance, if necessary -- in advocacy of the best interests of the company.
Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania or admitted to a State Bar of any U.S. State or the District of Columbia and eligible for a PA Limited In-House Counsel License.
