Overview: This position is responsible for providing legal support to the JHHS Legal Department. Job duties will include: (i) providing legal advice and interpretation with respect to the federal and state Stark (anti-referral) and anti-kickback laws; (ii) negotiating, drafting and reviewing a wide variety of agreements, including practice acquisition agreements and physician employment agreements; (iii) the practice of health law (including general business, regulatory and corporate law for health care entities), and (iv) providing support and advice in other legal areas as needed and assigned. The position is responsible for implementing all JHM policies and procedures related to fraud and abuse compliance including the development and maintenance of a training, auditing and monitoring program.

Experience: At least ten (10) years of legal experience in general health care law (e.g., general business, regulatory and corporate law for health care entities). Knowledge of federal and state statutes and regulations regarding fraud and abuse is essential for this role.

Provide legal advice and interpretation with respect to the federal and state Stark (anti-referral) and anti-kickback laws.
Negotiate, draft and review a wide variety of agreements, including practice acquisitions, clinical affiliations, physician employment and other corporate arrangements.
Advise on other health law matters (including general business, regulatory and corporate law for health care entities).
Provide support and advice in other legal areas as needed and assigned.
