Overview: A brand recognized around the world, McDonald’s (NYSE:MCD) has $21B in revenue, a market cap of ~$160B, and is the world’s largest restaurant company with about 39,000 locations in over 100 different countries.
The McDonald’s Corporate Legal Department is seeking an attorney to assist with securities issues, corporate governance matters, financing transactions and general corporate law issues. This is a hands on role and the successful candidate will not only ensure that the Company complies with relevant laws and rules, you’ll also have the opportunity to monitor trends in the Company’s business performance, applicable regulatory requirements as well as governance and disclosure practices among peer companies, and to counsels client accordingly. The Senior Counsel will work closely and collaborate with clients (including senior leaders) to understand their needs and help them achieve business goals.
Experience: The successful candidate will have at least seven (7) years of legal experience (preferably gained in a law firm and as in-house counsel), a thorough understanding of SEC rules and regulations and knowledge of NYSE listing standards and reporting requirements, as well as some experience handling corporate governance matters. In addition, the Senior Counsel will have an understanding of financing transactions and general corporate law issues.
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with seniority and experience.
