The Pittsburgh office of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is seeking a mid-level associate with excellent commercial finance and transactional experience and strong academic credentials to join our highly regarded Corporate practice. The person hired for this position will be part of a dedicated team and will support the practice by assuming such responsibilities as:

  • Representing borrowers, lenders and investors in revolving credit and term loan financings, real estate financings, syndicated credit facilities, financing of LBO transactions, mezzanine debt financing and other commercial finance arrangements
  • Drafting and reviewing key financing transaction agreements and ancillary documentation
  • Conducting or managing diligence reviews and coordinating deal closings
  • Supporting the practice by performing general research and writing as needed
  • Supervising and training junior associates
  • Managing transactional specialists
  • Managing client relationships and a broad array of corporate matters, in particular commercial finance related projects

Position Requirements

Personal skills/attributes

Technical skills

  • At least 3-5 years of legal transactional experience is required
  • Commercial finance, mergers and acquisition and transaction finance experience is required
  • Experience drafting and negotiating key legal documents for corporate finance matters is required
  • Experience supervising and training junior associates in corporate finance matters is required

Other requirements

  • Should be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be in good standing
