THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
As Counsel II, Technology, Digital and Data Transactions, you will partner with the VP Assistant General Counsel - Transactions, General Counsel and other members of the Legal Services Team to provide legal support and risk management services for Ulta Beauty. You will also interact regularly with Ulta Beauty’s internal business teams and assist with managing outside counsel. Specifically, this role will work closely with the Company’s e-commerce, digital innovation, information technology, marketing, procurement and other functional teams to provide legal advice in support of Ulta Beauty’s strategic initiatives. This support will include counseling on a wide variety of technology transactions and initiatives involving: technology procurement, digital assets and innovation; consumer marketing and advertising; ecommerce including consumer facing websites, mobile applications and social media platforms; data stewardship including data privacy protection, and information security matters; and brand protection initiatives. The role includes management of litigation and claims related to intellectual property, digital, and data privacy. The successful candidate will have significant functional expertise, meaningful business acumen and the ability to collaborate with business partners across the Company. The role will report to the VP Assistant General Counsel, Transactions.
The ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with business partners at all levels across the enterprise as well as with colleagues on the Legal Services team is a must. The ideal candidate for this role will have in-house and/or law firm experience supporting retail businesses, strong business acumen, excellent counseling skills, the ability to take a strategic and business-focused approach to complex legal issues and an entrepreneurial mindset.
