Overview: The Assistant General Counsel for Compliance is the primary legal counsel for the central university compliance department and conflict of interest program. The position supervises and coordinates the activities of the Compliance Department and participates in data incident response, enterprise risk management, and data governance and privacy committees and working groups.  The primary role of the position is to support the university’s academic and research missions and further its business goals by providing advice and oversight on university practices and policies to constituents and partners across the university.

Experience: The successful candidate will have 8+ years of experience in a risk-compliance-privacy role, working in higher education and/or a complex organization, and providing legal support to and oversight of compliance, conflict of interest management, internal investigations, corrective actions, and mitigation plans.
