Overview: The Assistant General Counsel - R&D (Director) will primarily be responsible for providing legal support to Ipsen’s R&D team that is charged with delivering and growing Ipsen’s pipeline in all therapeutic areas, optimizing Ipsen’s relationships with vendors and partners while actively supporting the R&D transformation and Ipsen’s growth.  This is a highly strategic and visible role, reporting to the Vice President, Legal R&D who reports to the General Counsel (Executive VP) for Ipsen, both of whom are located in France.

Experience: A minimum of seven years of in-house and/or law firm legal experience representing Research and Development in the healthcare sector is required.  International experience is preferred.  The successful candidate will be a creative problem solver with strong business acumen who has implemented change initiatives in a challenging business environment.
