What you’ll do at Jamf:
The Counsel is a key member of the global legal team at Jamf. This position will support Jamf’s business growth while identifying, mitigating and protecting against risk to Jamf’s critical assets. This position will primarily support Jamf’s sales and channel teams and negotiate contracts with Jamf’s customers. Other contract negotiations may include contracts with business partners and vendors. The position will be based out of Jamf’s offices in downtown Minneapolis.
Support Jamf’s US and Latin America sales and channel organizations by drafting and negotiating various standard and non-standard contracts and related documents, including software license and services agreements and related information security schedules, SOWs, non-disclosure agreements, data processing agreements, vendor agreements, distribution, reseller, managed service provider and other channel agreements.
Assist in optimizing contract templates and developing training materials on relevant topics to the business.
Assist in establishing best practices and optimizing the contract process through the use of technology.
Advise Jamf management of legal, compliance, and risk management issues related to existing and contemplated commercial transactions and initiatives.
Monitor legal, legislative, and regulatory trends applicable to the business.
Together with Jamf’s compliance team, enhance processes and programs to ensure compliance with internal policies, applicable law, and regulations, as well as customer expectations and commercial commitments.
Assist with other legal and compliance projects as directed.
JD and active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction, Minnesota preferred.
3-5 years of legal experience in either a law firm or in-house at a high-growth technology company with an emphasis on Cloud/SaaS software.
Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial contracts, supporting a sales organization, and handling data privacy and information security issues.
Solid understanding of business dynamics and demonstrated ability in developing sensible and commercially reasonable compromise positions.
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, complex environment utilizing technology to interact with colleagues.
Outstanding presentation, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence diverse groups of professionals.
Exceptional analytical, issue-spotting, and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated capability to quickly analyze complex factual situations, evaluate key risk issues, and make appropriate decisions.
