Global Payments Inc. seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel to join their team. Success in this role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills and being adept at identifying key legal issues, finding creative solutions to complicated legal problems, and effectively communicating such matters to internal stakeholders and customers.
Collaborate with several businesses within the company, as well as other legal team members, on contract matters and negotiations.
Support and/or lead department projects and initiatives designed to improve legal service delivery within the businesses.
Draft and negotiate customer facing commercial agreements, including partner agreements, merchant agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and other supporting documents.
Manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
Education and Experience:
Law degree from ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing of any state bar.
4-8 years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
Strong skills and deep experience in drafting and negotiating customer-facing commercial agreements.
Experience handling transactions in the technology, financial services, and/or payments industries strongly preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills; strong interpersonal skills essential.
