Law Professor – Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure (Open Rank)

USC Gould School of Law seeks applicants for a full-time law professor position beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year. Primary teaching responsibilities will include Criminal Law (first-year students) and Criminal Procedure (upper-division students). The job is open to both tenure-track and non-tenure-track candidates.
The successful candidate will work closely with the law school’s Academic Support Program to emphasize study skills and analytical skills. In teaching the spring Criminal Law section, the successful candidate will provide first-year students, identified by ASP, with extra practice and feedback on writing law school exam essays.
Gould anticipates making final hiring decisions in approximately April 2020.
A J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school, and significant prior experience teaching law school courses
In addition to prior experience teaching law school courses, experience as a practicing attorney in the field of criminal law or one or more published articles demonstrating current expertise in the field
