Endeavor seeks a talented and highly motivated lawyer to join its team in Beverly Hills, CA as Counsel or Associate Counsel, Intellectual Property, supporting trademark and brand protection of our portfolio, including, but not limited to WME, IMG, Endeavor, and IMG Events (Miss Universe Organization, Professional Bull Riders, New York Fashion Week, etc.). This is a high-volume practice supporting a large group of clients who operate within tight timeframes.
Handle his/her own workload while working with the IP/Brand Protection lawyers as and when required. As such, the role is suitable for candidates who are flexible, seek responsibility, confident, are team players and have a positive attitude.
Draft cease and desist letters relating to infringement of the Company’s rights.
Maintain and monitor a database of infringement incidents.
Conduct preliminary trademark searches/clearances and prepare risk assessments to business teams globally.
Support global brand protection/enforcement efforts, including reviewing trade mark watch notices, social media and website reports, filing take down notices on social media platforms, online auctions sites and online markets.
Liaise with external IP counsel and coordinate with business teams in relation to trademark prosecution/maintenance matters.
Draft and/or review intellectual property clauses in a range of commercial contracts, including event-staging agreements, supplier agreements, data transfers, media license agreements and production agreements.
Education and Experience:
At least one year legal experience required
Admitted to the California Bar
Ability to communicate, organize and prioritize
Drafting and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite are essential
Expertise in trademark prosecution matters, including all aspects of trademark application filings and ability to use USPTO databases is essential.
