The Baltimore office of McGuireWoods seeks an Associate to join its Labor & Employment Department.
McGuireWoods’ clients include local, national and multinational employers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and nonprofits. With more than 70 lawyers in the United States and Europe, our labor and employment team handles upwards of 4,000 employment-related matters each year. We counsel employers in every aspect of the employer/employee relationship, including federal, state and international law compliance; traditional labor issues; internal investigations; federal contracting; and executive compensation.
Qualified candidates will have 1 - 3 years of experience, inclusive of time as a judicial clerk. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, appearing in court, and preparing for and/or taking depositions. Candidates must possess strong academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing and communication skills. Maryland bar license is required. Preference will be given to candidates with, or interest in obtaining, additional licenses in New York or Pennsylvania. Please submit cover letter, resume, transcript and writing sample.
