Overview: The Chief IP Counsel will develop an in-depth understanding of the Company's intellectual property, products and business, and will possess the ability to evaluate and balance both legal and business factors when providing legal advice. This position will work directly with members of the legal department, business leadership, R&D, and marketing at sites in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and will perform a wide variety of hands-on intellectual property work.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of intellectual property legal experience in-house at a company, or a combination of law firm and in-house experience. Experience in drafting and negotiating IPrelated agreements. Experience with U.S. patent prosecution matters in complex patent portfolio. Working experience with nuances of international patent law (via local counsel), particularly with respect to Europe and China; understanding of FDA regulations for medical devices; and admittance to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Compensation: Competitive base, bonus, and equity.
