Overview: The General Counsel oversees all legal matters affecting SJU and provides legal advice to the Board of Trustees, officers, vice presidents, deans, department heads, and others. The General Counsel reports directly to the President.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits.
Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of legal experience with significant experience (preferably at least five (5) years) with the major areas of law and issues affecting institutions of higher education. The right candidate will possess a record of professional experience demonstrating progressive responsibilities, significant interaction with senior leadership teams and the ability to work effectively with various constituencies.
Bar Admission: Law degree from an accredited law school and license to practice law in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain licensure within one year.
