The Charlotte office of McGuireWoods seeks an associate to join its M&A & Corporate Transactions Department.

McGuireWoods’ M&A team represents buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other major transactions throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim. The firm’s lawyers handle transformative and strategically significant deals for public and private companies in every sector of the economy.
Qualified candidates will have with 3-5 years of transactional experience for its technology and outsourcing practice. Candidates must have a demonstrated capability in information technology issues and developments, and have an interest in being part of a specialized and fast-paced practice supporting business uses of technology. Transactional experience in general corporate, corporate finance, and/or information technology transactions is required and financial institution experience is a plus. Specific background in information technology, outsourcing or cloud services is a strong plus as is experience with other strategic supply chain transactions. In addition, the candidate must be a proven self-starter willing to take on a good deal of responsibility, with strong academic and work experience.
