Overview: The University of Maryland Medical System is one of the largest private, nonprofit hospital systems in the Mid-Atlantic region. It is comprised of ten hospitals within the State of Maryland, including one of the nation’s oldest academic hospitals. The Medical System generates nearly $3.5 billion in economic activity with 2300 licensed beds and 115,000 annual patient admissions, and it employs approximately 15,000 individuals. The Medical System offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services, and it is a national and regional referral center for trauma, oncology and cardiac services, neurocare, and physical rehabilitation.
Location: Baltimore, MD
Relos: Yes, but local candidates are preferred.
Compensation: Competitive base and bonus commensurate with experience.
Experience: 3 to 7 years of years of legal experience obtained at a law firm or in an in-house corporate legal department. Strong health care contracting and/or transactional experience.
Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Maryland Bar admission preferred.
