Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Real Estate Associate with three to five years of experience to join our New York office. The associate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, development, joint ventures, financing and work outs. Specifically, the associate will handle the following types of tasks: - Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements - Drafting and negotiating real estate finance documents, from both the lender and borrower perspective - Drafting and negotiating joint venture documents - Drafting and negotiating lease agreements, procurement/solicitation documents, as well as development and construction related documents - Overseeing title and survey reviews and other real estate due diligence and coordinating closings
This associate will join Dorsey’s group of Real Estate attorneys who represent developers, financial institutions, contractors, architects, corporate users and governmental authorities in connection with the purchase, financing and development of real estate, the construction and leasing of facilities and the sale of completed projects. Our attorneys also represent corporate users, retailers, real estate investors, REITs and property managers in connection with the purchase, financing, leasing, management, operation and sale of real estate assets.
Qualified candidates will have: - Three to five years of commercial real estate experience - Excellent communication and writing skills - Top academic credentials
New York state bar admission is preferred.
