We are thrilled to announce our search for a SVP and Deputy General Counsel for Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA) to be located in Boston, Massachusetts.
Company: Based in Massachusetts, CCA is a not-for-profit, community-based healthcare organization dedicated to improving care for individuals who are dually eligible for MassHealth (Medicaid) and Medicare with complex medical, behavioral health, and social needs including persons with disabilities. CCA offers two health plans: Senior Care Options (HMO SNP), for individuals ages 65 and over who have Medicare and MassHealth Standard or only MassHealth Standard; and One Care, a Massachusetts demonstration program for dual eligible individuals ages 21 to 64.
Position: Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Deputy General Counsel serves as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department. The Deputy General Counsel is responsible for providing a proactive and collaborative approach to the legal framework of the business issues associated with a dynamic, growing, and innovative health plan and care delivery system. As a highly visible and engaged member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy General Counsel currently has two direct reports in the title of Vice President and Associate General Counsel, each of whom has their own direct reports.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of legal experience in a health plan or healthcare delivery setting. In addition, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of management experience. Litigation management experience and Medicare or Medicaid experience is a plus.
Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: Competitive base and bonus commensurate with experience.
