We are currently seeking an Associate Counsel to join our Home Office in Orlando, Florida!
Overview & Responsibilities:
Provide legal guidance and advice to corporate stakeholders, business units, and field managers
Draft and review a variety of agreements and legal documents, including purchase/sale agreements, vendor contracts, commercial leases, employment agreements, noncompetition agreements, corporate resolutions, policies, and other transactional documents
Perform legal research and writing
Prepare regulatory filings
Manage IP portfolio issues
Troubleshoot a wide variety of legal issues
Assist in management of outside legal counsel
Perform other related duties as requested
Report directly to SVP/General Counsel
Requirements & Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Licensed to practice law in the USA, with the ability to qualify as Florida Authorized House Counsel
0 to 5 years of legal experience, including as a paralegal, legal intern, or law clerk
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong research skills, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and highly organized
Strong work ethic
Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Quick learner/innovative thinker
Regular, Reliable attendance in the office - full time
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Adobe
