Overview: The Associate General Counsel will serve as a key member of the Corporate Governance, M&A and Securities team. This position will focus on advising the firm on M&A and other strategic transactions over the full transaction life cycle, including pipeline, deal negotiation and execution, post-closing integration and disputes. The role will advise on executive compensation matters and assist with other general corporate matters.
Experience: 7+ years of experience with M&A, equity investments, JVs, and other strategic transactions over the full transaction life cycle, in a top-tier law firm and in-house expertise in a legal department of an acquisitive public (or large private) company. Experience with advising on executive compensation issues and client management are also required.
Compensation: Competitive base and bonus. Excellent benefits.
Location: Preferred location is New York, NY but exceptional candidates will be considered for the McLean, VA location.

Bar: Licensed to practice in New York or Virginia or admitted to a State Bar of any U.S. State or the District of Columbia and eligible for a New York or Virginia Limited In-House Counsel License.
