Karyopharm Therapeutics, Inc. (“Karyopharm” or “Company”) has retained Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer to be located in Newton, Massachusetts.
Overview: Outstanding opportunity to join an exciting global, publicly-held pre-commercial pharmaceutical company developing therapies to treat cancer and major diseases and poised to execute its first commercial launch in early 2019.
Karyopharm is seeking to fill the role of Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, Chief Business Officer & General Counsel, the CCO will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a global healthcare compliance program and will provide guidance for, and regularly interact with, senior management and the Board of Directors on compliance-related matters.
Company: Karyopharm is a global, publicly held, pre-commercial pharmaceutical company based in Newton, MA that is focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel first in-class agents targeting nuclear transport for the treatment of cancer and other major diseases. The FDA has accepted the Company’s new drug application with a priority review date of April 6, 2019, and the Company is preparing for its first potential U.S. commercial launch in early 2019.
Experience: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of extensive global healthcare corporate compliance experience with a demonstrated in-depth understanding of the applicable compliance, legal, and regulatory functions in the operation of a commercial-stage pharmaceutical and/or biotech organization. Demonstrated experience creating, launching, and implementing compliance programs within the biopharma industries are required. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a J.D. strongly preferred. Prior experience as a chief compliance officer of a biopharmaceutical company is a strong plus.
Compensation: A highly competitive compensation package including equity will be offered for this position consistent with the candidate’s level of experience.
Location: Newton, Massachusetts (a Boston suburb).
