This position reports to the Vice President & Associate General Counsel, Corporate Governance / Mergers & Acquisitions and is responsible for handling and/or supporting the legal needs of the Procurement function.
The purpose of this position is to identify and address risk in Procurement and to support the function’s business objectives. Specific responsibilities include the drafting and negotiation of indirect procurements and category procurements company-wide, internal legal review of large procurements, review and revision of standard terms and conditions for direct and indirect procurements, monitoring of changes in relevant legislation, providing counseling to the Procurement function as requested, providing subject matter expertise within the Legal department, and participation in functional activities for the Legal department and Procurement.
Required Skills and Education
The candidate shall have at least 7-10 years’ experience in procurement or commercial transactions, particularly in matters involving government contracts and subcontracts. Must be a team player; willing to assist with special projects as needed; able to balance multiple, competing priorities.
