Intel’s Memory Business (the “Nonvolatile Memory Solutions Group,” or “NSG”) seeks an experienced lawyer to help NSG accomplish our business objectives. NSG is an end-to-end business: we design our own memory chips, manufacture them in our factories, and design and sell our own end-products, which are known as solid-state drives. Our customers include the big players in the PC, server, storage, and cloud business, among others. We have Intel(R) Optane(TM) technology which is disrupting the memory business by resetting customer expectations on cost and performance. Your responsibilities will be to:
Serve as the lead-lawyer and trusted counselor to the VP-level executives in one of our four business segments (factories; technology development; systems development; business strategy and operations).
Identify and implement risk-optimized strategies for those executives.
Specific work will include: managing complex relationships with third-parties under R&D and product development agreements; negotiating win-win deals to expand our business with new partners; working with Intel’s PC and server businesses to maximize risk-optimized growth; managing our supply chain; working with Intel’s specialized legal groups on licensing, sourcing, sales, competition, and regulatory issues.

Qualifications: You must have a JD degree and a law license from at least one state. This position has historically been filled with lawyers of 10+ years of legal experience, but we will consider an exceptional candidate with 5 to 9 years of experience if he or she demonstrates the ability and determination to grow into the job. In addition, you must have:
