Baker McKenzie seeks an Associate General Counsel, Employment, Compliance & Investigations (AGC) with at least 15 years of experience to join the Office of General Counsel, resident in Chicago, New York or Washington, DC. Under the oversight of the Firm's General Counsel and Director of Professional Responsibility, the AGC will be responsible for a wide variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting with internal investigations, labor and employment law and human resources issues, discrimination and harassment claims, corporate compliance and ethics, and providing legal advice and support to the Firm’s management on such matters.
The ideal candidate will have a law degree and at least fifteen years of broad-based experience in the legal profession or an in-house legal department, involving strong investigations, labor/employment /HR, compliance, and/or litigation experience. The candidate must have exceptional ability to collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and information, as well as strong analytic and problem solving skills, with a focus on process and project management. Exceptional communications and teaming skills are essential. To be considered, candidates must be admitted to and be a member in good standing of the state bar where they intend to practice law.
