We are currently hiring for a Litigation Operations Director (Auto Non-Injury/Injury) for our Tampa Commerce Park or Tampa Crosstown location. Please note that this is an in-office only position and not a Work-at-Home/Remote position.
Manages unit of assigned Litigation Managers. Responsible for workflow, administration, developing employee technical skills, and evaluating performance of Litigation Managers. Provides high-level technical advice and supervision on litigated cases.
Assigns litigation/arbitration cases to litigation staff.
Manages workflow and ensures quality control.
Participates in case authority and strategy conferences on litigated cases.
Monitors and provides recommendations for retention of panel defense attorneys and firms.
Reviews, audits, and approves legal expenses and fees.
Responsible for hiring, employee development, performance evaluation, counseling, and all manager related administrative functions.
Ensures ALIS litigation documentation records are current and complete.
Bachelor's degree required; 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
8 years of related work experience.
Subject-matter-expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and applicable software.

5 years of claims litigation experience, either as a trial attorney or claims professional.
5 years’ experience of leading processes or projects that required strategic thinking and leveraged influence.
Demonstrated ability to manage talent, create vision, and set the agenda.
Ability to effectively communicate with Executive Leadership within USAA’s Claims department as well as within the USAA Chief Legal Office.
***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
